Bomb Blast in Quetta: Two Policemen Killed, Balochistan Leaders Condemn Attack
Quetta, Pakistan – On Saturday, a bomb blast in Kuchlak town near Quetta resulted in the deaths of two policemen and injured another. The explosion targeted a police vehicle, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Azhar Rashid.
Details of the Incident
DSP Rashid explained that the explosives were pre-planted and detonated as the police vehicle arrived. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Zainuddin and gunman Mohammad Tahir were killed, while the driver was injured and taken to Mufti Mehmood Memorial Hospital before being transferred to a trauma center in Quetta.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the attack, honoring the fallen officers and expressing condolences to their families. He emphasized the sacrifices made by the Balochistan Police and security forces in the fight against terrorism.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to the martyred officers and wished for the injured driver’s speedy recovery. He reiterated the country’s commitment to fighting terrorism.

On August 25, militants from the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) launched multiple attacks across Balochistan, killing at least 50 people, including 14 security officials. Security forces responded by neutralizing 21 militants.
