Bobby Pawar Booked for Vandalism and Harassment at Dehradun Coaching Centre

Bobby Pawar, who recently ran as an independent candidate for the Tehri Lok Sabha seat, has been accused of vandalism and harassment at a coaching centre in Dehradun. According to the police, Pawar and some unidentified men allegedly harassed female employees using indecent language and behavior.

The police received a complaint from a victim at Raipur Police Station, Dehradun. The victim, an employee of the coaching centre, reported that Pawar and his companions entered the centre, vandalized property, and harassed the female staff.

Based on the victims’ statements recorded in court, the police have confirmed the allegations. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the IPC, including 147, 323, 342, 354 (A), 427, and 509. CCTV footage and other evidence have been sent for forensic investigation.

Pawar appeared at Raipur Police Station on July 12, 2024, to record his statement. He has been served a legal notice to comply with Section 41 (a) CrPC, which includes being present in court during prosecution, cooperating with the investigation, and not influencing witnesses. Other accused individuals are also being identified and summoned for statements.
