BMC Introduces New Rules for Ganeshotsav Celebrations in Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a new computerised single window permission system for Mandals participating in Ganeshotsav. Mandals will receive a 5-year permit but must obtain a fresh No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) annually from local police and traffic departments. The fee is Rs 100. Mandals must be 10 years old, rule-abiding, and complaint-free. BMC encourages eco-friendly celebrations. Ganeshotsav, celebrating the birth of Ganesha, is on September 19 this year.
