BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla Criticizes Congress as ‘Kachha Nimbu’ in Politics
In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a strong critique against the Congress party, describing it as a ‘kachha nimbu’ or an ineffective player in politics from Jammu and Kashmir to Kerala. He claimed that the Samajwadi Party has effectively ended Congress’s influence in Uttar Pradesh.
Poonawalla stated, “Congress has accepted ‘Mujhse naa ho paayega’ and surrendered. The Samajwadi Party performed Congress’s political funeral in Uttar Pradesh. Congress has become the 12th man, a ‘kachha nimbu’ in politics.” He further added that Congress has lost its confidence and is now just a skeleton, with its votes taken by others.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav announced that all INDIA Bloc candidates will contest the Uttar Pradesh by-polls on the Samajwadi Party’s symbol ‘cycle’. He emphasized the increased strength of the Samajwadi Party with Congress’s support.
As of Wednesday, 34 candidates have filed nominations for the Uttar Pradesh assembly by-elections, which will be held on nine assembly seats. The by-polls are scheduled for November 13, with vote counting on November 23.
