BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla Criticizes Congress After Haryana Elections

In New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Congress party following the Haryana election results. He described Congress as a “parasite party,” suggesting it relies on other parties like TMC, SP, and Uddhav Sena. Poonawalla claimed that Congress weakens its allies by draining their vote banks.

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi shared a video urging Congress to unite with other opposition parties to defeat the BJP. He emphasized that Congress cannot succeed alone against Prime Minister Modi.

Another BJP spokesperson, Pradeep Bhandari, accused Owaisi of being aligned with Congress and the INDI Alliance. Bhandari argued that their strategy was to create fear within the Muslim community to secure votes, but now their intentions are clear.

In the Haryana elections, the BJP secured a majority with 48 out of 90 seats, while Congress won 37 seats. Independents and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 3 and 2 seats, respectively.
