BJP’s Shehzad Poonawala Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over Election Comments

In New Delhi, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawala criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments on the Election Commission and the electoral process. Poonawala accused Gandhi of being unable to accept defeat, calling him an “entitled dynast” and “immature leader.” He highlighted Gandhi’s inconsistency, noting that when Congress wins in Jammu and Kashmir, the constitution is praised, but when they lose in Haryana, the electoral process is questioned.

Poonawala questioned if Gandhi was prioritizing family interests over national interests, contrasting him with other Congress leaders like Hooda and Selja, who accepted defeat gracefully. BJP National Spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill also criticized Gandhi, comparing him to a child who blames others for his failures.

Rahul Gandhi had described the Haryana election results as “unexpected” and planned to address complaints with the Election Commission. He expressed gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, calling their victory a triumph of the Constitution. In Haryana, BJP won 48 out of 90 seats, while Congress secured 37. In Jammu and Kashmir, the NC-led alliance won 42 seats, with Congress winning six and BJP 29.
