New Delhi, India – BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari has accused Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Gandhi family of corruption. Bhandari claims that if the Gandhi family were honest, they would have removed Siddaramaiah from his position.

Bhandari stated that the Congress party is running an ‘Operation Corruption’ to loot public money. He mentioned that the Karnataka High Court has accused Siddaramaiah of taking Rs 55 crore and that Siddaramaiah himself went to the High Court against a Special Court order. When the High Court provided relief against the governor’s sanction, it was accepted, but now that the High Court has accused him of corruption, Siddaramaiah calls it ‘Operation Lotus’.

Bhandari also said that Siddaramaiah is nervous and has taken back the general consent given to the CBI. He claimed that the people of Karnataka see Siddaramaiah as a corrupt Chief Minister and that Rs 55 crore was given to his wife and son. Bhandari demanded an inquiry to check if cut money was given to the Gandhi family.

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Karnataka High Court demanding a CBI probe against Siddaramaiah in the alleged MUDA scam. The petitioner, Snehamayi Krishna, stated that the investigation should be handled by the central probe agency as Lokayukta works under the government and the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

A Special Court in Bengaluru has directed Karnataka Lokayukta to investigate allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites worth Rs 56 crore to Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
