Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Praises PM Modi

In New Delhi, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri celebrated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) success in the Haryana assembly elections. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the party’s third consecutive win in the state.

Puri congratulated the Prime Minister and the BJP team, highlighting the convincing margin of victory. He criticized the Congress party for their premature celebrations, suggesting they should demonstrate political maturity.

He also warned Congress not to underestimate the voters’ maturity, emphasizing that Haryana’s voters chose stability and continuity, appreciating the development work done by PM Modi over the past decade.

Puri took a jab at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which failed to secure any seats in Haryana, despite being active in Delhi politics. However, AAP did achieve a win in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda constituency, with Mehraj Malik defeating BJP’s Gajay Singh Rana.

Regarding Congress’s allegations against the Election Commission of India for delaying vote count updates, Puri defended the Commission’s procedures. As per the latest updates, BJP leads with 48 seats, followed by Congress with 37 seats, INLD with 2 seats, and Independents with 3 seats. The Assembly has 90 seats, with results declared for 89 and 1 still being counted.
