Grewal stated that the Punjab government has not made necessary arrangements and delayed essential processes.

Farmers’ Protests

Farmers in Punjab continued their protests for the second day, demanding timely paddy procurement, DAP supply, and stubble management solutions. The protests included roadblocks in areas like Sangrur, Moga, Phagwara, and Batala, organized by the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha.

BJP’s Actions

A BJP delegation met with Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, urging him to ensure that the crop is lifted from mandis before Diwali. The memorandum highlighted the Punjab government’s failure to make timely arrangements for paddy procurement.
