BJP’s CR Kesavan Criticizes Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Over Hindi Language Concerns
In New Delhi, BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for his letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Stalin’s letter suggested avoiding Hindi language events in non-Hindi speaking states, which Kesavan argued goes against the spirit of cooperative federalism envisioned by Dr. BR Ambedkar and the Constitution’s founders.
Kesavan accused the DMK of using language as a political tool, while praising PM Modi’s commitment to preserving linguistic diversity. He argued that celebrating only Hindi undermines India’s linguistic diversity, especially in Tamil Nadu, where Tamil, one of the world’s oldest languages, is spoken.
