BJP’s Big Membership Drive in Himachal Pradesh

Workshop Held in Sundernagar

The BJP Himachal Pradesh organized a workshop at the district office in Sundernagar for its 2024 membership drive. Around 350 delegates attended the event, which featured two presentations on upcoming campaign activities.

Key Leaders Present

The workshop was led by BJP State President Dr Rajeev Bindal, with state co-incharge Sanjay Tandon, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, State General Secretary Siddharthan, General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, MP and General Secretary Dr Sikander Kumar, and Trilok Kapoor also in attendance.

Membership Drive Details

Dr Bindal announced that the membership drive will start on September 1, following enrollments by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda. Despite already having 11 to 18 crore members, the BJP aims to enroll 200 members at every booth across Himachal Pradesh.

State Team Announced

Dr Bindal introduced the state team for the membership drive, with Bihari Lal Sharma as the state convenor. The team includes Vice President Payal Vaidya, Secretary Sumit Sharma, Rajesh Thakur, and Munish Chauhan.

Goals and Strategies

State co-incharge Sanjay Tandon revealed the goal of enrolling 16 lakh members in Himachal Pradesh. He encouraged party workers to go door-to-door and use social media and wall writing campaigns. A dedicated hashtag will also be launched.

Party’s Inclusive Effort

BJP National Vice President Rekha Verma emphasized the party’s inclusive principles and resilience. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur expressed pride in the party’s strong leadership and commitment to including every section of society in the membership drive.
