BJP Questions Congress and Rahul Gandhi on Jammu and Kashmir Policies
The BJP held press conferences across India on Saturday, challenging Congress and Rahul Gandhi on their stance regarding Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Minister Amit Shah posed 10 questions to Congress, asking if they want to:
- Restore Article 370 and Article 35A
- Promote separatism by talking to Pakistan
- Revive terrorism and cross-border trade with Pakistan
- Reinstate government jobs for families of terrorists and stone-pelters
- Abolish reservations for Dalits, Gujjars, Bakerwals, and Paharis
- Rename ‘Shankaracharya Hill’ and ‘Hari Parbat’
- Support divisive politics between Jammu and the Valley
- Support autonomy for Kashmir
- Bring back a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir
- Destroy Jammu and Kashmir’s economy
In BJP-ruled states, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers addressed the media, while in other states, state BJP presidents and senior party leaders demanded answers from Congress and Rahul Gandhi on these issues.
