BJP Protests Against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Over Sand Scarcity

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs in Jharkhand staged a unique protest against Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday. They set up a small stall outside the assembly, selling sand for Rs 100 per kilogram to highlight the rising price and scarcity of sand in the state. The MLAs accused Soren’s government of transporting sand to Mumbai and raised slogans like ‘Jab-Jab Hemant Sarkar Aata Hai, Baalu Ko Le Jaata Hai.’

In response, Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched a scathing attack on the BJP during the monsoon session in the legislative assembly. He accused BJP leaders of looting land and committing murders to build their party offices. Soren claimed that BJP leaders have misled the people and evaded arrest by central investigative agencies. He cited a report showing that BJP constructed party offices on looted land in 24 districts.

Soren further alleged that the BJP runs a ‘shop of looting and cheating’ in various parts of Jharkhand, including Pakur and Jamshedpur. He criticized the BJP for not addressing these issues either inside or outside the legislative assembly.
