BJP MPs Criticize Delhi CM Over Water and Electricity Issues
Public Rally in Malviya Nagar
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, along with other BJP workers, held a public rally against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday. The rally was organized to protest the lack of clean drinking water in the slums of Malviya Nagar, Delhi.
Criticism of the Delhi Government
MP Bansuri Swaraj criticized the Delhi government for ignoring the people of Malviya Nagar. She stated, “For a decade, the Aam Aadmi Party government is not doing its job for the people of Delhi. Today we are here at Indira camp and Valmiki basti in Malviya Nagar, and the people here are outraged with their conditions.”
She further added that the Arvind Kejriwal government has not fulfilled its promises of providing drinking water to the people in the area. “There is one tap for three slums. This is the same Aam Aadmi Party government which promised to provide piped water. Forget piped water and free water, the government is not even able to provide safe drinking water. If you check the water, then you will see that the people are getting dirty water from sewage. Till when will the people of Delhi bear the brunt of the false promises of the Kejriwal government?”
Additionally, she mentioned that the slums are not getting electricity either. “Most of the slums here are enveloped in darkness, so they don’t even get free water, neither free electricity,” she added.
Additional Criticism by MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri
At the same time, BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi constituency also held a rally against the Delhi government. He criticized the government for high electricity bills to slum dwellers and failing to provide old age pensions and ration cards to people. “From the last six years, the Arvind Kejriwal government has stopped giving out ration cards. From the last six to seven years, the poor people, our old people, are not getting their old age pensions from the government,” said Bidhuri.
