BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi Accuses Karnataka Congress Leaders of Land Scams
On Monday, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi claimed that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are returning land linked to alleged scams to avoid court proceedings. Trivedi stated that the decision to return the land, after objections were raised about a trust run by Kharge’s son, indicates misuse of power for land grabbing in Karnataka.
During a press conference in Delhi, Trivedi highlighted past allegations, mentioning that in 2015, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar was booked for a land grab case. He accused the top leadership of Karnataka Congress, including the CM, Dy CM, and National President, of being involved in these activities.
Trivedi noted that Kharge’s family decided to return a five-acre land allotted to a trust run by his son, Rahul Kharge. Additionally, after the Enforcement Directorate booked CM Siddaramaiah for money laundering related to the MUDA land allotment scam, his wife offered to surrender 14 plots allotted to her by MUDA.
The Mysuru Lokayukta has initiated an inquiry following a court order to investigate allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites worth Rs 56 crore to Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, in Mysuru city.
