He alleged that Congress distributed money to influence voters in the Bellary Lok Sabha seat.

Mari Gowda resigned citing health issues, stating that the CM instructed him to resign. He emphasized that there was no pressure on him and that the ongoing investigation would reveal the truth. The ED has booked Siddaramaiah in connection with the alleged MUDA land allotment scam.
