BJP Leaders Criticize Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren

Godda, Jharkhand: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has accused Godda, the constituency of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, of being a major hub of corruption. Dubey claims that land and forest resources are being exploited through illegal deals, with alleged connections between the Chief Minister’s office and overseas companies.

Dubey stated, “Godda is the biggest center of corruption of the current government. Hemant Soren is the head of the Jharkhand government and is an MLA from Godda.” He also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the region, highlighting issues like illegal land deals and connections with foreign companies.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also criticized Soren’s government, accusing it of allowing illegal land transfers to immigrants. At a rally in Tamar, Shah said, “The illegal immigrants are taking up the jobs meant for tribals of the state… The infiltrators are dangerous for our daughters, our resources, and our land.” Shah promised that the BJP would enact laws to prevent immigrants from acquiring tribal land.

Shah also addressed recent political tensions within the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), citing the removal of senior party leader Champai Soren as disrespectful to the tribal community. He alleged that Champai Soren’s dismissal was due to his stance against corruption.

The remarks come as Jharkhand prepares for assembly elections on November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23. In the last elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP 25, and the Congress 16.
