New Delhi, India – BJP MP Lahar Singh Siroya has claimed that the Justice Kempanna Commission, appointed by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, confirmed that the Siddaramaiah-led government (2013-2018) violated Supreme Court guidelines by illegally denotifying 325.46 acres in Arkavathy Layout, Bangalore. Siroya stated that this adds to the list of scams by the Congress government.

Siroya explained that the four-volume, 1861-page report by the Kempanna Commission found that nearly 325.62 acres of land were illegally de-notified in Arkavathy Layout, violating Supreme Court guidelines. He emphasized that this is a scam worth a few thousand crores.

The BJP leader noted that the de-notification occurred during Siddaramaiah’s first term (2013-2018) and that the commission was set up by Siddaramaiah’s own government after serious allegations from the Opposition. Despite Siddaramaiah’s claims of no illegality, Siroya questioned what Siddaramaiah would say now that the commission’s findings have been revealed.

Siroya also mentioned that the report was written in 2017 by an IAS officer of the Additional Chief Secretary level in-charge of Karnataka’s Urban Development Department. The Siddaramaiah government resisted tabling the report in the Assembly, which Siroya claims shows they wanted to suppress it.

He called for an FIR to be filed immediately based on the detailed findings of the Kempanna Commission. Siroya also criticized the current Siddaramaiah government for instructing the Chief Secretary not to send the report to the Governor without cabinet permission, calling it an unconstitutional act.

Additionally, Siroya listed other alleged scams by the Congress government, including the MUDA scam, the Valmiki Corporation scam, and the KIADB scam, predicting a political earthquake in Karnataka.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a case against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah linked to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land allotment scam. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh defended Siddaramaiah, claiming the ED is being used for political revenge.

The Lokayukta Police also filed an FIR against Siddaramaiah and others in connection with the MUDA land allotment scam, alleging illegal allotment of 14 sites to Siddaramaiah’s wife. The BJP has demanded Siddaramaiah’s resignation and a probe by the ED and CBI. However, Siddaramaiah has dismissed these demands, calling for the resignation of other leaders first.
