New Delhi [India], July 2: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj has moved a notice under Rule 115 in Lok Sabha regarding Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s speech on July 1. Swaraj highlighted alleged mistakes and inaccuracies in Gandhi’s speech during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s speech.

Swaraj claimed that Gandhi made factually incorrect statements about the Agniveer scheme, falsely stating that no compensation is available to Agniveers on attaining martyrdom. She accused Gandhi of misleading the House and making false statements about his party’s conduct towards farmers and the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Swaraj urged the Speaker to initiate proceedings under Rule 115 against Gandhi and take necessary action for the alleged inaccuracies. Earlier, several portions of Gandhi’s speech, including comments on Hindus and PM Narendra Modi, were expunged from the Parliament records by the Speaker.

During his speech, Gandhi accused the BJP and RSS of spreading violence and hatred, which led to protests from BJP leaders. The Congress responded with counter-allegations against the Modi government.
