BJP MLA T Raja Singh Requests Enhanced Security for Ganesh Visarjan in Hyderabad
BJP MLA Goshamahal Raja Singh Lodh has written a letter to the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, urging for increased security during the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan procession on September 17. He emphasized the need for strict measures to prevent disruptive activities, particularly those targeting women.
In his letter, Singh highlighted past incidents of inappropriate behavior, such as public drinking and harassment, and stressed the importance of maintaining the festival’s spiritual and cultural essence. He stated, “Increased vigilance and immediate action against those who engage in such disruptive activities will be crucial to ensuring that the Ganesh Visarjan is carried out in a peaceful and dignified manner.”
Singh also noted that the Ganesh Visarjan is a grand festival for Hindus, celebrated with much devotion over 10 days, culminating in a grand procession primarily towards Tank Bund. He expressed concern over individuals with malicious intent joining the processions and creating a nuisance.
“Your intervention will undoubtedly help maintain the spiritual and cultural essence of the festival and ensure the safety and dignity of all participants, especially women,” Singh concluded in his letter.
