BJP MLA Nitesh Rane Questions FIRs Over Remarks in Ahmednagar
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has raised questions about the filing of two FIRs against him for his remarks in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. According to the police, Rane made provocative speeches in Srirampur and Topkhana police jurisdictions during the Sakal Hindu Samaj agitation.
Rane defended his statements, saying, “Why is the Hindu community being threatened? If they (Muslims) can talk in threatening language, then we can also do the same.” He emphasized that his remarks were meant to encourage the Hindu community not to be scared.
Rane also expressed his support for Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, who had made controversial comments about Islam. He mentioned that those supporting Ramgiri Maharaj have been receiving death threats. “Whoever is supporting Ramgiri Maharaj and putting it on their social media status are getting death threats,” Rane added.
Earlier, Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj had allegedly made derogatory remarks in Nashik against Islam and Prophet Mohammed, leading to tension between the Hindu and Muslim communities.
