BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya Criticizes Congress and Discusses Death Threats to Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma
BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya has accused the Congress regime in Rajasthan of prohibiting Kanwar activities. He praised the BJP for strengthening law and order in the state since coming to power.
Addressing the media, Acharya said, “During Congress times, stone-pelting on Kanwariyas, stopping Kanwariyas, and prohibiting their Satsang were common practices. But since the BJP assumed power, things have changed… Law and order in the state are strong.”
Acharya also discussed the death threats received by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, attributing them to the CM’s efforts to end the ‘mafia-raj’ that was prevalent during the Congress’s tenure. He stated, “The CM has tightened things, and these mafias have become unemployed. Hence, they are threatening the CM, but these threats won’t have an impact as the rule of law and order prevails.”
After the CM received death threats reportedly from Shyalawas Jail in Dausa, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lalsot Lokesh Sonwal said that the police have identified the accused and recovered nine mobile phones from the spot. ASP Sonwal stated, “The mobile phone and SIM card were seized, and the person who issued the threat was identified. An FIR has been issued, and an investigation is ongoing.”
The accused, serving a sentence under Section 376, is from Darjeeling. Due to security reasons, the name of the person and other details cannot be revealed.
