BJP MLA Arvind Pateria Reports Fake Caller Demanding Money for Higher Post
Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh: Arvind Pateria, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Rajnagar assembly constituency, has reported a fake caller who posed as a senior official from the BJP Delhi office. The caller demanded Rs 1 lakh in exchange for offering Pateria a higher post in the state party organization.
MLA Pateria received the call a few days ago and lodged a complaint at Rajnagar police station in Chhatarpur district on Friday. City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Aman Mishra stated, “Rajnagar MLA Arvind Pateria received a call from an unknown number a few days ago. The caller introduced himself as a senior office bearer of BJP office, Delhi and demanded Rs 1 lakh from the MLA in exchange of offering him a higher post in the Madhya Pradesh Party organisation.”
Based on the incident, the police registered a case under relevant sections against an unknown person and started an investigation into the matter. CSP Mishra added that the police were investigating every aspect to find out the unknown caller, including whether AI was used in the scam.
