BJP Leaders Protest Overnight in Karnataka Assembly Against Alleged MUDA Scam

BJP leaders, including Leader of Opposition R Ashok and BJP Karnataka President BY Vijayendra, spent the night inside the Karnataka Assembly on Wednesday. They were protesting to demand a discussion on the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam.

The BJP accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of being involved in the scam and called for his resignation. They claimed that the Valmiki Development Corporation’s funds, meant for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, were misused for other purposes.

Under the leadership of BY Vijayendra and R Ashok, BJP and JDS members from both Houses started a sit-in protest at Vidhansauda. They condemned the state government’s actions and demanded justice for the affected communities.

BJP leader Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan stated that the protest was necessary because the state government rejected their request for a discussion on the MUDA scam, which allegedly involved over four thousand crores. He emphasized that the protest aimed to inform the public about the scam and demand the Chief Minister’s resignation.
