BJP Leaders Criticize Rahul Gandhi for Remarks on Ram Mandir Ceremony
In Patna, Bihar, BJP leaders strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, for his recent comments about the Ram Mandir ceremony. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad condemned Gandhi’s remarks, calling it shameful to compare the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ of the Ram temple in Ayodhya to ‘naach-gaana’ (song and dance).
BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan also criticized Gandhi, stating that he frequently disrespects Hindu Dharma and its followers. Kesavan mentioned that this is not the first time Gandhi has made such statements, recalling a previous instance where Gandhi mocked the Sengol.
BJP leader Aparna Yadav demanded an apology from Gandhi, emphasizing that he had not even watched the event. She highlighted that Prime Minister Modi honored those who constructed the Ram Temple, unlike previous prime ministers from the Gandhi family.
Another BJP leader, Tirath Singh Rawat, suggested that Gandhi does not understand Indian culture and the significance of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which was a day of celebration for many.
Rahul Gandhi had criticized the BJP during a rally in Haryana, accusing them of neglecting farmers during the Ram Mandir event. He pointed out that prominent figures like Adani, Ambani, and Amitabh Bachchan were present, but not a single farmer or laborer was seen.
The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram took place on January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the main rituals and unveiling the idol of Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla.
