Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva participated in the Aarti at Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav organized by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan at Dwarka Sector 10 in New Delhi.

Warm Greetings from Kamaljeet Sehrawat

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat extended her warm greetings on the occasion of Janmashtami. She said, “Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan has organised a grand event in Dwarka on the eve of Krishna Janmashtami… The artists give very realistic performances here… On this occasion, I pray that the country moves forward on its way to becoming a Vishwaguru. My greetings to everyone on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.”

Virendraa Sachdeva’s Message to the Youth

State BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva praised the event’s theme, ‘Darshan itihas ka, parivartan aaj ka,’ for its significant message to the young generation. He said, “I came here to attend the event organised by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan… The arrangements are very good. They have used technology very efficiently… Their theme of ‘Darshan itihas ka, parivartan aaj ka’ gives a huge message for the young generation.”

President Droupadi Murmu’s Greetings

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm greetings on the auspicious eve of Janmashtami. She wished the citizens of the country and Indians living abroad, stating, “On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens and Indians living abroad.”

Murmu emphasized the festival’s inspirational message, writing, “On the day of Janmashtami, we worship Bhagwan Krishna. This festival of joy inspires us to dedicate ourselves to the divine ideals of Bhagwan Krishna. Bhagavad Gita, the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Arjuna, is an eternal source of inspiration and enlightenment for the entire humanity.”

She further encouraged everyone to imbibe the teachings of Lord Krishna and work towards the country’s progress and prosperity.

Nationwide Celebrations

Preparations for Krishna Janmashtami are in full swing across the country. The festival will be celebrated on August 26 this year. Devotees traditionally fast and decorate temples and homes with flowers, diyas, and lights. The celebrations are particularly grand in Mathura and Vrindavan, where it is believed that Krishna spent his youth and childhood.
