New Delhi, June 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized the Congress party in the Rajya Sabha, claiming that the Constitution was often disrespected when Congress was in power. He cited changes made to the Preamble and other instances to support his argument.

Comparison Between Modi and Nehru

Trivedi agreed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jawahar Lal Nehru cannot be compared, stating that Modi was chosen unanimously as PM candidate, unlike Nehru. He recalled that poet Majrooh Sultanpuri was jailed for two years for criticizing Nehru, contrasting this with the freedom of speech under Modi’s leadership.

BJP’s Success in South India

Trivedi mocked the Congress for their claims of influence in South India, highlighting BJP’s success in the region under Modi’s leadership. He noted that both BJP and Congress celebrated the recent election results, with BJP forming the government for the third time in a row.

Development in Uttar Pradesh

Trivedi praised the development in Uttar Pradesh, mentioning that the state now manufactures ballistic missiles, a significant change from its previous image depicted in crime thrillers like ‘Mirzapur’.

Revival of Nalanda University

Trivedi lauded PM Modi for reviving Nalanda University, quoting Modi’s vision of India as a prominent knowledge center. He emphasized the government’s efforts to restore India’s knowledge tradition.

Conclusion

Trivedi concluded with a poem, expressing confidence in the government’s ability to lead and overcome challenges.
