BJP Leader Shehzad Poonawalla Questions Rahul Gandhi Over Tamil Nadu BSP Chief’s Murder

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shehzad Poonawalla has questioned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, asking if he would visit Tamil Nadu to meet the family of the slain Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief, K Armstrong. Armstrong was brutally killed by unidentified men near his home in Chennai.

Poonawalla criticized Rahul Gandhi for not condemning the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government and questioned if he would demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. He accused Gandhi of being a ‘Leader of Opportunism’ rather than a ‘Leader of Opposition’.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi visited Hathras in Uttar Pradesh to meet the families of stampede victims. Poonawalla also criticized the DMK government, claiming that law and order in Tamil Nadu had been destroyed and that the Congress-DMK alliance was responsible.

According to the police, eight suspects have been detained in connection with Armstrong’s murder, and the investigation is ongoing. BSP leader Mayawati and national coordinator Akash Anand visited Chennai to pay tributes to Armstrong and demanded a CBI investigation.

Mayawati urged the state government to ensure law and order and the safety of weaker sections, emphasizing the need for a serious approach to arrest the accused.
