BJP Leader Nalin Kohli Criticizes Congress Alliance in Maharashtra Elections
In Mumbai, Maharashtra, the seat-sharing arrangement for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections is set to be finalized soon. BJP leader Nalin Kohli criticized the Congress party and its allies, stating that their alliance lacks a common agenda and is merely an opportunistic political understanding to oppose the BJP.
Kohli emphasized that the BJP-NDA’s focus is on serving the people with a positive governance agenda, contrasting it with the MVA’s approach. He remarked that the BJP-NDA model does not involve conflicts over words.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole mentioned that senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat had discussions with Sharad Pawar, indicating that the MVA’s seat-sharing issues would be resolved soon. Patole noted that the problem lies in 25-30 seats, but a resolution is expected shortly.
Meanwhile, the BJP has already released its first list of 99 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections. The state will vote in a single phase on November 20, with results to be announced on November 23.
