BJP Announces Candidates for Maharashtra Assembly Elections
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of 99 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Among the candidates is Suresh Damu Bhole, who will contest from the Jalgaon assembly constituency. Bhole expressed gratitude to the party and its leaders for the opportunity, emphasizing his commitment to serving the people and adhering to the party’s principles of service, sacrifice, and dedication.
Celebrations took place at the home of BJP leader Sanjay Mukund Kelkar, who will run from the Thane constituency. Kelkar thanked Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other party leaders for trusting him to contest for the third time, highlighting his past performance and the support of Mahayuti workers.
Krishna Pancham Khopade, another BJP leader, will contest from the Nagpur East Assembly seat. He expressed his gratitude for being chosen for the fourth time, confident in the BJP’s success in East Nagpur.
Other notable candidates include Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis from Nagpur South West, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule from Kamthi, and several others from key constituencies.
The announcement follows a strategic meeting at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence. The BJP, part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance, is preparing for the elections scheduled for November 20, facing opposition from the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance.
