BJP and Congress Clash Over Mysuru Land Scam Allegations Against CM Siddaramiah

The political scene in Karnataka is heating up as the BJP and Congress engage in a war of words over allegations against Chief Minister Siddaramiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.

BJP’s Accusations

On social media, BJP leader R. Ashoka accused CM Siddaramiah of corruption, claiming he is trying to protect himself by using caste as a shield. Ashoka also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for past remarks and accused the Congress of exploiting Dalits and backward communities.

Protests and Detentions

Earlier, Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra and other party members were detained by police in Mysuru while protesting against the state government. Vijayendra demanded a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities, stating that an impartial probe is necessary and that CM Siddaramiah should resign.

Government’s Response

CM Siddaramiah has denied any wrongdoing, asserting that the land allotment under the MUDA order was carried out during the BJP’s rule in 2021. He dismissed the allegations as baseless.
