Bikram Singh Majithia Gets Relief from Court in Drug Case

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], July 8: Shiromani Akali Dal’s (SAD) Chief Legal Advisor, Arshdeep Singh Kaler, announced that the court has stayed the summons against former MLA Bikram Singh Majithia in a drug case. Kaler accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of trying to trap Majithia with politically motivated summons.

Speaking at a press conference, Kaler said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government tried to trap Majithia and repeatedly formed SITs. Ultimately the results are before everyone. Majithia was harassed by repeatedly sending summons after which, arguments were presented in the court against the politically motivated summons and the summons were stayed.”

The Punjab and Haryana High Court provided relief to Majithia by withdrawing the summons sent by the SIT. Kaler emphasized that no evidence was found against Majithia linking him to the drug case and criticized the ruling Aam Aadmi Party for defaming Punjab and failing to control the drug problem.

Kaler also mentioned that Punjab is projected as a drug hub, with Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi pointing out that 70% of the youth in Punjab are affected by drugs. He claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party has defamed Punjab for not being able to control the drug menace in the state.
