Bihar Police Attacked by Bike Riders in Sasaram

In Sasaram, Bihar, three bike riders opened fire on patrolling constables during a routine check in the Darigaon area, injuring one officer. The incident occurred on Friday night, and the injured constable was shot in the hand.

According to the Superintendent of Police, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the case further. The police have requested the public to share any relevant information they may have.

This incident follows a recent announcement by Bihar’s Land Reforms and Revenue Minister, Dilip Jaiswal, who stated that the state government would set up SITs in every district. These teams will be empowered to shoot on sight those found with illegal firearms.

In a related incident, a shooting at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, on June 19 resulted in one fatality. Over 10 rounds were fired during the incident.
