Patna (Bihar) [India], June 22: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Vijay Sinha has criticized the opposition regarding the paper leak issue in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-UG exams. He urged the opposition to cooperate with the investigation agencies.

Allegations Against Tejashwi Yadav

Sinha questioned RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav about his secretary Pritam Kumar’s involvement in booking a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, one of the accused in the paper leak case. Sinha demanded clarity on whether Pritam Kumar is still Tejashwi’s Personal Secretary and who Sikander Kumar Yadavendu is.

Details of the Accusations

According to Sinha, Pritam Kumar called a guest house worker to book a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, using the term ‘Mantri’ for Tejashwi Yadav. Sinha also mentioned that under the RJD government, two chairmen of the Bihar Public Service Commission went to jail.

Tejashwi Yadav’s Response

Tejashwi Yadav responded by accusing the BJP of trying to divert attention from the main culprits. He stated that the INDIA alliance wants the NEET exam to be cancelled and criticized the BJP for dragging his name into the controversy.

Protests and Government Action

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is under scrutiny for alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exams, leading to protests and demands to disband the NTA. The Education Ministry has formed a seven-member committee to reform the examination process.
