Big Find: Assam Rifles and Manipur Police Discover Hidden Weapons in Thoubal
In an exciting joint operation, the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police found a large stash of weapons and ammunition in Thoubal district, Manipur. This happened on June 24, when they acted on a tip-off about hidden arms in the Waithou Ridge area.
What They Found
The security forces discovered:
- One 12 bore single barrel gun
- One 12 bore bolt action rifle
- One 9 mm CMG
- Ammunition
- Grenades
All these items have been handed over to the Manipur Police.
Earlier Arrests
Just a few days before this, on Friday, Manipur Police arrested three insurgents from Shantong near Lamlong Village in Tengnoupal District. The arrested individuals are:
- Thiyam Lukhoi Luwang (21) from the KYKL Group
- Keisham Premchand Singh (24) from the KYKL Group
- Inaobi Khundrakpam (20) from the KCP Noyon Group
