Big Drug Bust in Assam: Police Seize Yaba Tablets and Heroin Worth Rs 42 Crore
In Assam’s Karimganj district, police arrested three individuals after seizing 1.20 lakh Yaba tablets and 537 grams of heroin, valued at Rs 42 crore. Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das stated that the drugs were being transported from Mizoram’s Champhai district to other parts of India via Guwahati.
Details of the Arrest
The accused, Hanif Uddin and Jabrul Hussain, were caught with the narcotics hidden in a vehicle’s front seat. The police intercepted the vehicle at Patel Nagar area under Karimganj police station after receiving a tip-off. Further investigations are ongoing.
