Bibhu Datta Guru and Amitendra Kishore Prasad Appointed as Additional Judges of Chhattisgarh High Court
The Ministry of Law and Justice has announced the appointment of two new Additional Judges for the Chhattisgarh High Court. Bibhu Datta Guru and Amitendra Kishore Prasad have been appointed for a period of two years, starting from the date they assume their offices.

The appointments were made under the power conferred by Article 224 of the Constitution of India. The President approved the appointments following recommendations from the Collegium, which includes Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, and Justice BR Gavai.

On July 30, 2024, the Collegium recommended the appointments of Bibhu Datta Guru and Amitendra Kishore Prasad.
