Bhupinder Singh Hooda Wins Big in Haryana Elections
In the Haryana assembly elections, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda secured a significant victory. He won the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency by a margin of 71,465 votes, defeating BJP candidate Manju. Another Congress leader, Aditya Surjewala, also celebrated a win in the Kaithal assembly seat, leading over BJP’s Leela Ram by 8,124 votes.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed gratitude to the people of Haryana as the BJP moved towards a third consecutive win in the state. He credited the success to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and expressed confidence in the support from the poor, farmers, and youth of Haryana.
Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat, a former wrestler, also emerged victorious in the Julana Assembly Constituency, defeating BJP’s Yogesh Kumar by 5,761 votes.
Despite these wins, the Congress party raised concerns about discrepancies in the vote count data on the Election Commission’s website. Congress General Secretary Ramesh alleged a slowdown in updating the election results. However, the Election Commission of India dismissed these claims, stating that the counting process was conducted transparently and in accordance with the rules.
