Bhupinder Singh Hooda Says Congress Ready for Haryana Elections, Criticizes BJP
Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has declared that the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections will be a direct contest between Congress and BJP, dismissing the relevance of smaller parties. Speaking to the media, Hooda emphasized that Congress is fully prepared, having toured every district and planning to visit every assembly constituency.
Hooda highlighted that in the recent Lok Sabha elections, their alliance received 47.62% of the vote, the highest in the country, with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka following. He criticized the BJP government for high unemployment and inflation in Haryana, asserting that the public is ready for a change in leadership.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed confidence in BJP’s strength across all 90 assembly seats, doubting Congress’s ability to win any seat. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, both BJP and Congress won 5 seats each in Haryana, with BJP securing a 46.11% vote share compared to Congress’s 43.67% and its ally Aam Admi Party’s 3.94%.
The Haryana Assembly Elections will be held this year for 90 assembly seats.
