Bhupinder Singh Hooda Confident in Congress Victory in Haryana Elections

Haryana Assembly Elections: A Battle Between Congress and BJP

As the votes are being counted for the Haryana assembly elections, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed confidence that Congress will form the government with a significant majority. Hooda credited party leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, as well as the people of Haryana, for this anticipated success.

According to the Election Commission’s latest trends at 11:10 am, the BJP is leading with 49 seats, while Congress follows with 35 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are leading with one seat each, and Independents and smaller parties are leading in four seats. Despite exit polls predicting a Congress victory, the BJP seems poised for a third consecutive win.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading from the Ladwa constituency, while Bhupinder Singh Hooda is ahead in the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat. BJP leader Anil Vij criticized Congress, suggesting internal conflicts within the party. Meanwhile, BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla emphasized the party’s strong public support and confidence in forming the government again.

Nayab Saini highlighted the BJP’s developmental work over the past decade and expressed confidence in a third term for the party, contrasting it with Congress’s alleged corruption.
