Bhavtegh Singh Gill Shines in Men’s Skeet at ISSF Junior World Cup in Italy

Bhavtegh Singh Gill had an impressive first day in the men’s skeet event at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Porpetto, Italy. He hit 74 out of 75 targets, securing third place among 68 competitors.

The competition continues with two more qualification rounds before the top six shooters advance to the final. India has already won a bronze medal in the women’s trap event, thanks to Sabeera Haris.

Two American shooters, Benjamin Keller and Jordan Sapp, are leading the men’s skeet with perfect scores of 75 each. Bhavtegh’s only miss was in the first round.

Other Indian participants include Zoravar Bedi, who scored 69 and is in 25th place, and Munek Battula, who scored 66 and is in 47th place. In the women’s skeet event, Vanshika Tiwari is the best Indian performer with a score of 67, placing her in 14th position. Sanjana Sood scored 66, placing her 19th, while Zahra Deesawala scored 60, placing her 39th.
