Bengaluru Woman Seeks Public Help to Find Missing Husband, Vipin Gupta

Sreeparna Dutta from Bengaluru is desperately seeking help to find her husband, Vipin Gupta, who has been missing since August 4. Gupta, a 37-year-old techie working at Manyata Tech Park, was last seen riding his bike, which was later found abandoned in a hospital parking lot.

According to Dutta, Rs 1.8 lakh was withdrawn from Gupta’s bank account shortly after he went missing, and his phone has been switched off since 2.00 pm that day. She has criticized the police for their slow response, stating that they initially refused to file an FIR and only did so after repeated requests on August 6.

Dutta has taken to social media platforms like Facebook and X to express her anguish and appeal for public assistance. She mentioned receiving hoax calls demanding money for her husband’s release and urged the public to provide any information that could help in finding him.

In response to her social media posts, Bengaluru DCP North East assured that the case is being investigated on priority and urged anyone with information to contact the investigating officer at Kodigehalli police station.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
