Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024: A Global Gathering

The 27th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2024 is set to begin on November 19, as announced by Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge. The event will be inaugurated by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, along with the Deputy NSA of the US and the German Minister for Economic Affairs.

Global Participation

This year’s summit will see participation from over 15 countries, including both governmental and private representatives. Delegations from 33 global innovation alliance countries will also attend. The summit aims to connect start-ups with venture capitalists, with over 300 start-ups and more than 100 venture capitalists already involved.

Focus on Emerging Technologies

The summit will emphasize Artificial Intelligence and deep tech start-ups. New policies will be introduced, such as the Global Capability Centre Policy and the State Space Tech Policy, both firsts in India. An agile re-skilling program called ‘Nipuna Karnataka’ will also be launched, promoting the mantra ‘skill locally, work globally.’

Future Roadmap

The summit will present a roadmap for emerging technologies over the next few years, highlighting the importance of innovation and skill development in the global ecosystem.
