The Bengal Warriorz, winners of Season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), are eager to reclaim their title after a disappointing last season where they finished seventh. For Season 11, they have made significant changes, including appointing Prashant Surve as the new head coach and Praveen Yadav as the assistant coach.
At the Season 11 Player Auction held in Mumbai, the Warriorz retained their captain Maninder Singh for Rs 1.15 crores. Maninder, who is second on the leaderboard for most raid points in PKL history with 1,428 points, will lead the raiding department. He will be joined by Nitin Kumar, Vishwas S, Pranay Rane, and newcomer Arjun Rathi, who was picked for Rs 41 lakhs as the most expensive Category D player.
In defense, the Warriorz signed Fazel Atrachali, the top-scoring defender in PKL history with 486 tackle points, for Rs 50 lacs. Fazel will be supported by Nitesh Kumar, who is sixth on the all-time leaderboard for most tackle points with 350. The defensive lineup also includes Mayur Kadam and Vaibhav Garje, both of whom have proven their skills in Pro Kabaddi.
