The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has inaugurated the new National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, now called the BCCI Centre of Excellence. This world-class facility spans over 40 acres and aims to nurture the future of cricket and advance sports science in India.

Key Features

Cricket Grounds

The Centre features three cricket grounds. Ground A, the main ground, has an 85-yard boundary with 13 Mumbai red soil pitches, advanced floodlighting, and broadcasting facilities. Grounds B and C are practice grounds with 75-yard boundaries, featuring Mandya and Black Cotton soil pitches.

Practice Resources

The Centre offers 45 outdoor net pitches, a dedicated fielding practice area, and six outdoor running tracks. The indoor practice facility includes eight pitches with premium turfs and integrated cameras for analytical purposes.

State-of-the-Art Amenities

The South Pavilion includes one of the largest dressing rooms, a Hall of Fame, commentator and match referee rooms, a press conference area, VIP lounge, and administrative offices. The Dining and Dormitory block provides food and lodging for staff.

Sports Science & Medicine Block

This block features a 16,000 square-foot gym, physiotherapy rehab gym, sports science and medicine lab, recovery area, and a swimming pool. It also includes an 80-seater meeting room and audio-visual facilities.

Commitment Beyond Cricket

The facility supports athletes across various sports disciplines and will be open to leading Indian Olympians, contributing to the overall growth of Indian sports.
