Baramulla Encounter: Terrorist Neutralized and Arms Recovered

In Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, a joint team successfully neutralized a heavily armed terrorist. The operation led to the recovery of significant arms and ammunition, including an AK Rifle, AK Magazines, AK Rounds, Pistols, and other war-like stores. This was confirmed by the Chinar Corps in a statement.

Joint Anti-Infiltration Operation

The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps, along with Jammu Kashmir Police, launched a joint anti-infiltration operation based on intelligence inputs. The operation took place along the Line of Control in the Uri area of Baramulla. Alert troops noticed suspicious activity, which led to an exchange of fire with the terrorists. The operation is ongoing.

Ganderbal Terror Attack

In a separate incident, two laborers were killed in a terror attack in the Gagangeer area of Ganderbal district. The attack targeted non-local laborers working on an infrastructure project. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, describing it as “dastardly and cowardly.” He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
