Jammu and Kashmir police, along with other security forces, reviewed security arrangements in Baramulla for the final phase of Assembly Elections on October 1. Baramulla DIG Maqsood Ul Zaman expressed satisfaction with the preparations.

IGP VK Birdi chaired a meeting in Srinagar to review law and order. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the police, security forces, and intelligence agencies.

The elections are being held in three phases, with the final phase on October 1 and vote counting on October 8. These are the first elections since the abrogation of Article 370.
