This visit is the first incoming bilateral State Visit after the formation of the new government in India following the 18th Lok Sabha elections. During her visit, PM Hasina is scheduled to meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

India and Bangladesh share a multifaceted relationship marked by a shared history, culture, and geographical proximity.
