Bangladesh Government Websites Hacked Amid Student Protests

The hackers posted messages saying, ‘Operation HuntDown, Stop Killing Students,’ and declared, ‘It’s not a protest anymore, it’s a war now.’
The group criticized the government’s violent response to peaceful student protests, which have been demanding changes to the quota system for government jobs. The protests have led to over 100 deaths.
The Supreme Court recently ruled to reduce the quota for descendants of war veterans from 30% to 5%, with 93% of jobs now based on merit and 2% reserved for ethnic minorities, transgender individuals, and the disabled.
