Balochistan Protests: Abdul Qadir Found Dead, Abdul Nabi Injured, and Fazila Mastianzai Shot

In Balochistan, Pakistan, a tragic incident occurred where the mutilated body of Abdul Qadir was found on the roadside, and Abdul Nabi was discovered severely injured. Both were reportedly abducted by security agencies two days prior from the Naghad area of Surab District, according to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

The BYC reported that the families of the victims had blocked the RCD Road in protest until the authorities assured them of finding their sons. Unfortunately, Abdul Qadir’s body showed signs of torture, and Abdul Nabi was badly hurt. The BYC highlighted that such incidents are becoming common, with another Baloch youth, Naveed Baloch, found dead the previous day.

In another incident, a Baloch woman named Fazila Mastianzai was injured when the Frontier Corps opened fire on civilians in the Kharan area. The BYC condemned these actions, stating that state atrocities against the Baloch people are leading to systematic destruction.

Currently, a sit-in at Fida Chowk in Turbat has become a focal point for protests. Families of the forcibly disappeared, including Nako Mayar Baloch, have been protesting for a week, demanding justice and accountability. The BYC supports a social media campaign to raise awareness about the Baloch genocide and urges the Baloch nation to participate.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest but least populated province, has been plagued by a prolonged conflict involving allegations of enforced disappearances, where individuals are allegedly abducted by state authorities or unknown groups and held without legal recourse or public acknowledgment.
